The Saurabhi Silver Red Pathak Jomaale Necklace

Celebrate the beauty and tradition of Coorg with this exquisite Kodava Pathak Necklace, a striking tribute to the timeless customs of Karnataka. This iconic piece is more than just jewelry; it’s a symbol of love, commitment, and heritage. The Pathak pendant, known as the traditional "Thali" or mangalsutra, is a cherished ornament worn by married women and symbolizes their marital status. In Kodava culture, it holds profound significance, as it is placed around the neck of a bride-to-be by her mother on the eve of her wedding, marking the beginning of a new chapter.

The pendant itself is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. It features a traditional round shape, crowned with a stylized cobra hood, a powerful symbol of fertility and protection. The cobra’s eyes are set with tiny rubies, adding a touch of vibrancy and elegance. At the heart of the pendant is the divine image of Goddess Lakshmi, embodying prosperity and blessings.

Hanging gracefully on a necklace of coral beads, silver beads, and black bead strings, this piece combines striking colors and textures to create a stunning visual effect. The Kodava Pathak Necklace is not just an ornament but an essential part of a Kodavathi bride’s jewelry, passed down through generations, preserving the rich cultural legacy.

Crafted with the finest 92.5% sterling silver, this necklace incorporates ancient South Indian antique gold temple jewelry techniques, with the pendant delicately gold-dipped in 24k gold, offering a regal finish. Whether worn during a wedding ceremony or cherished for its cultural significance, this necklace is a beautiful fusion of tradition, craftsmanship, and elegance, making it a truly exceptional addition to any collection.
